The Need
allpay.net are continually looking to innovate within the payment solutions market. Mobile phones are recognised as one of the most ubiquitous devices available to the public. Allpay recognised this fact and identified an opportunity to develop a method by which their clients could request a payment by SMS.
allpay.net challenged QEB to make this concept a reality.
Solution
QEB identified a two way short code SMS service as the vehicle for this solution.
QEB developed TextPay.
This led to the development of real-time web service integration with an SMS Service Provider, and a payments engine to interpret messages and send responses.
Additionally, a website was developed in .net to enable clients to register for the service, called allpayments.text. This a registration site for paying bills by text message. This means that once registered, the bill payer can pay their bills anywhere and at any time with their mobile phone.
